upper plate with integral clamp. provenance?
Not come across an upper plate like this before. Can anyone shed light on its origin?

This is an early 28 plate. They are getting harder and harder to find. I only have three out of a lot of plates.

Re: upper plate with integral clamp. provenance?
I have one of those that I ran for years, it was different and seemed to clamp the points better, probably my imagination. Now the real early 28s didn't have the points bolted in, they had a straight spring end and just slipped between pegs, it got changed because they were so easy to steal. Just squeeze them and they lifted right out.

Thank you, this ties in with the body of the dissy which is also early '28 I think.
