Default '52/'53 Rear Bumper Wing Guards

I recently bought a set of the above guards to go on my '53 Crestline Convertible, but they did not come with any instructions or hardware.

Does anybody have information on how to fit these and what hardware is needed if any?

Thanks in advance,

Meric Hoffman.

I don't know if this is of any help, I found it on the Internet. Mounting Instructions - Accessory Bumper Wing Guards 1952 and 1953 Fords.

It looks like you only got one part of the assembly. There are pieces that go over the present bumper guards which I don't see in your picture.

Never thought these made the car look any better and were dubious as far as protection goes.

You may need to buy a pair of Tall Accessory Rear Bumper Guards so that you can fit your Wing Guards to your 1953 Ford Sunliner, as per this photo?

Here are pictures of a 1953 Ford Customline Sedan with Accessory Front and Rear Bumper Guards and Accessory Bumper Wing Guards. Now you know what you are looking for. If you add them to the Rear, you should also add them to the Front?
Personally, I prefer these cars without this Accessory, but that is my opinion.

The car looks so much better without them. Really ugly. An obvious poorly styled after thought accessory. Thnk brush guard.

19Fordy, I am glad that someone agrees with me on this Genuine Ford Accessory. In my books, it is an Over-Kill and ruins the original design of these good looking old Fords. Thanks for your comments.

There is a school of thought that says : "If it's an official accessory for your car, you must put it on." I have a friend that belongs to this school that has a beautiful '55 Chevy convertible that is accessorized down to the headlight "eyebrows" and under-dash tissue holder.

I have to hold my tongue every time I see it.
