Default Changing front spring...

You always know your in for a long struggle when the "black book" figures an hour to do this job. I usually multiply the numbers in the book by 2 or 3 depending on the condition of the fasteners and rust

Crank case front bearing cotters/nuts came off well but the pictured spring was so rusted up inside the frame rails I had to cut the tie bolt and drive apart the leaves.

Last picture of old and new spring from "T" springs in W Hartford CT.
