Default 1929 Ford Model A trunk deck prop

Just purchased a new trunk deck prop for my model A 1929 Standard Coupe and when i tried to mount it on the deck i found that the two screw area is on an angle and throws the whole think off by about 30 degrees. The listing showed these the same for 28-31 What could be the issue? Anyone?

This shows what you need and how to attach it.

Maybe it was put together wrong or is bent..They should fit though with no problem.

i see more of an angle in the two originals. This repop is made with no angle on the plate where it screws to the deck lid.

I bought the same one for a 31 and had to modify it (bend) to fit.
