Red face Lifter clerance

Along with the lifter bore can someone give me the clerance for the lifters in the bores. This is for a model A. Thanks.

.011"-.013" for intake and .013"-.015" for exhaust seems to be the most recommended, unless the cam builder says something different.

I have a gauge pin that I machined that is 0.003" OS that I use as a Go-No Go gauge of sorts. Kinda crude but effective. We all know about telescoping gauges & mics today, but I have wondered how Ford expected their Agency mechanics to measure that tolerance back in the day?

I've never tried to measure that but would think .001-.0015" is about right. If too loose they can make some unusual and hard to locate noises.
