Single Center Snap Ring Wrist Pin ??
Found something I hadn't seen before looking for some good rods in my stash pile. The piston ends of some (early 2-inch journal) rods, I found, use a single center snap ring between the bushings in the piston end of the rod with a matching groove in the center of the wrist pin. Was this Ford usage or a re-builder's mod? Is there any way to remove the snap ring with out removing the bushing?

Re: Single Center Snap Ring Wrist Pin ??
Thanks Walt for the info, I bet you have seen it all. Maybe this was an early 1932 design? The exiting bushings seem good. Guess I can use these rods with new pistons and just press in the new wrist pins without the center groove and use the two outer snap rings in the pistons.
