Early 28 starter
Hi there, I am in search of advise on a 28 abell starter(not sure if thats how its spelled) I am working on a friends 28 with starter issues, I am learning as I go,
I found out it had the wrong starter in it, It did have the newer starter in it. and it ruined the bendix and ring gear. It does have a multi-disc clutch system. I am finding out there are no abell starters out there, so what are our options, I have heard of replacing everything, flywheel, clutch trans, What about machining out side of flywheel? Has anyone done that? Is that where the new style starter hits? Any ideas will help |

Re: Early 28 starter
I have a new old stock Bendix for an early starter if it is needed.

From the service bulletins
Recommended purchase either the full size or the cd version |
