Default Turn signals and BrakeLighter

I installed a low profile third light that sits at the bottom of the back window about a year ago. I wired it so it would blink right or left for turn signals and also act as a brake light. It worked fine for quite awhile.

I recently noticed this problem:

With the engine running the turn signal don't blink they just stay on right or left.
With the engine off they work like they are supposed to.
I'm using incandescent bulbs for the tail and brake lights and of course the 3rd brake is LED.
I'm wondering if the problem might be that I'm using a regular flasher, not the electronic one you use for LED bulbs.
Do I need to use LED bulbs for the Brake and Tails lights and use the electronic flasher?

The electonic flasher will flash at the same rate, independent of the load. Use with either or a combination of LED and Incandescent bulbs

I'd guess your flasher has gone bad. Get another thermal flasher from Snyder's. e-flashers can be touchy for some reason.
