Are you looking for the angles? 52.09 on the left and 49.36 on the right.

Hello all,

Now with a few more things, the funny part will begin, extrude all the lines.
The valves sets is done with the correct angle. I will need to resize some parts not serious.

Does anyone has a piston for a bore 3.1875 that can take a measurement?
-Height,
-From the bottom to the middle of the piston pin,
-The pin diameter.

Thank you so much.

See if any of this helps. This piston is from a 1948 59a engine, it is domed top, 3.188 +.040 (original 3.188 bored std .040 over).

From top edge of piston to bottom of longest part of skirt: 2.960
From top edge of piston to bottom of shortest part of skirt: 2.700 (not including notch)
Width of longest part of skirt: ~1.250
Width of shortest part of skirt: ~1.250
It is curved between these sections.
From top edge of piston to top of dome: ~.250

Starting a top edge of piston working down to shortest part of skirt (not including notch).
Top edge to top piston ring: .250
Top piston ring grove: .096
Top piston ring to second piston ring: .156
Second piston ring grove: .096
Second piston ring to third piston ring: .100
Third piston ring grove: .188
Third piston ring to top of piston pin: .268
Piston pin: .750
Bottom of piston pin to bottom piston ring: .170
Bottom piston ring grove: .183
Bottom piston ring to bottom of skirt: .440 (not including notch)

From Top edge of piston to center of piston pin: ~1.530
From center of piston pin to bottom of skirt: ~1.170
Piston Pin diameter: .750

These are measurements straight from a piston using calipers and include measuring errors I am sure!

There are 3 ring and 4 ring pistons. I believe the original design from Ford was the 4 ring and the 3 ring was a more modern replacement. Not sure it would make any difference for what you are doing, a lot of the current rebuilds use the 3 ring style.

Hello all,

I 'm working in the front end of the block, I will need some help, someone have any photos where I can see the front end of the block 59 AB without the water pumps and the distributor cover? I already made a google search but not find anything.

Thank you so much for the help.

All the best,
Jorge

I'm easily distracted! But here are 4 shots of 59a block. This is a 48 block (as far as I know) out of a Truck.
