Woodie Auction today in Auburn, IN
Here is an article on some great Ford woodies that are going to be auctioned off today. It came in an e-mail from Hagerty. Nice pictures of some great looking cars.

Re: Woodie Auction today in Auburn, IN
I've never been much of a wagon fan but how can a guy not like the Mercs? Especially the standard chassis one? Beautiful...

I really like the ‘42 Mercury, but I have no money or space for it.

Re: Woodie Auction today in Auburn, IN
I remember seeing a 1942 maroon Mercury station wagon at the Indy swap meet back in the mid to late 1980's. Wonder if that is the same car. I knew then it was a very rare car.

My '42 maroon Mercury wagon was a regular at the Indy swap meet from mid '80's thru the late '90's. Still have it, but not driven lately. The Mercs pictured above came from the Nick Alexander collection. They were all sold at auction several years ago. |

Re: Woodie Auction today in Auburn, IN
I'd work hard to find room for that '50 Monarch with its less busy front end.

42 Merc, must've been your car then! I always enjoyed that swap meet but wasn't married that long and fairly broke back then.

This is the vehicle that brought top dollar at this station wagon auction. A 1947 Mercury Marmon-Herrington Station Wagon that brought $310,000 at Auction. |

Out of the station wagons that went up for Auction, this is my favourite, a 1942 Mercury Station Wagon. It brought $120,000. |

Re: Woodie Auction today in Auburn, IN
Can I confirm if this was a recent auction or from 2016? I wasn't sure judging by one of the posted comments.
