Default F1 Bench Seat.

Wondering what any of you F1 owners may have used as a replacement bench seat for your trucks. I want to use a fold forward seat, either split or not, not a fixed back. What I don't want is the overstuffed couch look. That's what it had when I got it. I have an '80s Dodge Dakota folding bench that will work fine but was looking for other suggestions of what worked for you. Guess a stroll through the junk yard is in order. Thanks.

Some of the 3rd seats in the larger SUVs(Lincoln Navigator, Ford Expedition, Chev. Suburban., etc) may work. Lots of time you can find a nice one that has leather upholstery at your local Pick-n-Pull for about $60.

Mid 80's Ford Ranger seats, they're not that bulky looking.

'80s Ranger bench seats. Plentiful in the salvage yards. I built a frame to mount in the original floor holes then mounted seats to the frame.

Here's a link from the FTE forum with a 3rd row bench seat from a Suburban in a '47 big truck:

Also attached a photo from the thread. Seat looks like it belongs IMO. I have a middle bench seat from a mini van in my '40 1 1/2 ton. It fits good but the cushioning is more modern than I would like. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a 3rs row seat from a Suburban.

You might look at this guy, he sells take-out brand new seats from doing conversions:

Several guys on the truck forums have purchased brand-new take-outs from him for unbelievable prices.

Measure your cab. Seems like 51" was what mine was. Take your tape measure with you while you search.
I was looking for comfort, so a power split bench from an 83 Malibu was perfect.
Remember your height.
