Re: Tie down wheels or axles when towing
I know nothing about wood, but most serious hurricanes don't seem to be bothered by diagonals....
If you have been around cars more than ten minutes, you know 'poop happens'. Study Truly's anchoring of the black Ford Roadster. Besides diagonals (???), an additional straight strap, PLUS vertical side boards against the tires preventing the car from shifting. We won't agree on his methods but it does appear he knows 'poop happens' by his extra precautions. |

Re: Tie down wheels or axles when towing
Most paved roads are banked so the water
will drain to the curb side. My experience - vehicles will move to the curb side in or on your trailer as you pull it down the road. Jim |

Sometimes I will take etrac wood sockets and run a length of dimensional lumber to keep a vehicle from shifting inside the trailer. |

Jim it's obvious you take great care with your cargo! If I didn't do my own hauling you would be my go to guy!

Tie down wheels or axles when towing
Thank You Dale !
I leave from Orcas Island, WA on the ferry tomorrow. Head down to Everett, WA to pick up my trailer. I have been also moving travel trailers …. Then I go to Bend, Oregon to pick up this 1970 Chevelle magazine cover car and transport it to Iowa ….. Then I head to Kansas to pick up this 1941 Pick Up Truck that a repeat customer has been waiting patiently for me since May to haul for him to Delaware …. Jim
