Re: Wolf whistle
If there is a "rear cap" losen it up (just a little) and see if that helps. If it is a deep moan sound you hear the inside "noise generator" is not getting "up to speed" for the whistle sound to be made.

Re: Wolf whistle
While trying to blow it, squirt some WD 40 into while it is trying to work. My guess that being new, it is just too tight to get up to speed. Needs lubrication and to be broken in. I have a wolf whistle on every one of our model A Fords. I have learned to play a wolf whistle like a slide whistle. I can play most tunes on our wolf whistles. Easy beginner exercises would be: Call the dog, Wolf Whistle, Bosen's whistle, etc.

Re: Wolf whistle
i have had the same whistle on my 29 for over 50years and it still works very good.one thing would need to do is glue the spinner in tight it is a sort of a slide fit and they will fall out..I lube with gun oil about once a year.

Re: Wolf whistle
Followed your advice and no difference, has good vacuum and it really sucks. Bought new at Steve’s speed shop on eBay, contacted him again and said I wanted refund. Thanks to all that responded, JD
