Default Sorry guys but I just can’t resist.

Between here and the model T site I’ve seen a lot of post on how to store our cars for the winter. This is how we do it in California. We drive them.374AE239-C603-411B-9CBF-4B0B2C0D3BA5.jpg

Ya, you drive them as fast as you can away from the mud slides, earthquakes, fires, drought, and traffic. Mine is put away until the snow clears in April.

Merry Xmas.

Is the one star dude back? I haven't noticed anyone use the rating "stars" in a while. I thought we had matured past that but I guess not...

Took the Town Sedan to the beach today. The marine layer is starting to come in so we came home. ~63°F.

Over on the H.A.M.B. somebody asked "how do you prepare your car for winter?" Naturally a laundry list ensued, all kinds of suggestions, strategies, techniques, notions & potions and fuel stabilizers etc etc..

Then one of the answers came back "I roll up the windows." LOL !!

I have been driving mine too. First winter for me. My winterizing consisted of putting 50/50 antifreeze in, and that was about it. Got 4 inches of snow the other day, but I haven't taken it in the snow yet.

Don't drive any of my As when there is salt on the road, but after a good rain to wash it off, when it dries they come out. Bit cold without a heater, but a lap blanket helps..

And BTW Merry Christmas, one and all from Virginia...

You guys reminded me of something.

When I started driving my first A coupe in the snow and mud, some people suggested that I take off the fenders. To me, back then and now, the curve of the front fenders, running board, and rear fenders is one of the things that makes an A so darn neat. That attitude has stayed the same for over 70 years.

Merry Christmas and no high-boys for me,

Mike

They don’t use salt here. Thank goodness. Merry Christmas from Wahington (State).
