40 mile per hour wind gusts and snowing! Not a Model A in sight, come to think of it, no cars out at all. Wonderful Michigan winters....and this is not even the Upper Peninsula!

Happy Holidays!

We take a lot of heat for our summer heat, but winter more than makes up for it. 69 today, forecast 78 by Friday. I'd post a picture, but it looks like any other time of year.

My dad grew up in Minnesota winters, 1910-1920. He said he and his siblings couldn't go out on some days because it was so cold their lungs could freeze! The upper midwest is a tough environment.

Wish we had a little snow or even some rain this year..... could be another drought year. I commend you "A"ers for driving in snow and freezing temps, Old Car Guys RULE!!!!

Try harder.
Why fight temptation, there's only going to be more!!
Our S latitude is about the same as St Louis is North in the US and we are only about 75 metres elevation so we never see snow on the roads like that. Drive 'em year round.

-33 here right now. Not many A's running around here these days. My A's will stay warm and dry in the shop.

Mine is in the garage for the winter. The way the long term forecast is, it won't see the road till at least late march or April. My garage is attached, and it never freezes in there, but I do have about 35% antifreeze in it.

No matter how 'bad' we think it is, somebody else has it worse off.

The beauty of the good ole USA is, you can move around either permanently or seasonally. We planned on leaving this cold and snowy weather for about 4 weeks and go to Az., but the situation changed that isn't in the cards now.

A heated garage makes all the difference.

The key for me was to have two old old Fords; a model A for summer driving and a 1936 four door sedan for the winter. The 36 was great in the snow. It had a “Southwind” gas heater, and was toasty warm. Notice the snow tires on it in the picture I took in Newtown back in the 70’s.

Here in CT we will be frozen for a while, but then I (unlike my sister who lives in Petaluma) do not have to worry about being surrounded by wild fires.

I haven't put my snow chains on yet, but I'm sure that's coming soon. She goes pretty well with chains.
