I assumed this was a hood latch mechanism. The part # as shown is 11C 8215-B. I searched through the green book under "Hood" and no such # shows. I'll be the first to admit I find that book confusing so maybe I'm ignorant. Any help out there?

I continue to be humbled. I searched the so called "Green Bible" and found part #8215 in the alphabetical listing titled handle (hood) on page 785. I went back to the hood section beginning on page 612 and still don't find it listed. I'm stumped.

11C prefix is '41 commercial.40 commercial is different.Look closely at just before the finger tab ,the '41 is shorter

Same as the OP,yes.Not same as in the pic of the green '40.

As the others have said it is a 1941 Pickup and they are very hard to find!

I found this thread on 41 1/2 ton pickup hood handles from 2014. Not sure if the link will work 'cause I have technology issues. If it doesn't work maybe somebody can make it work. It was started on 2/24/14 by senior member cartravel.
