Default How tight should the pitman arm nut be? Is there a torque spec?

Wondering if there is a torque spec for a 39 ford pitman arm nut?

Thanks!

I tried to get an answer to the very same question; I don't think there's a specific torque setting.

Just make it tight, and recheck after a few turns out on the road.

Good and tight with an impact wrench
or good and tight with a breaker bar.

What's the thread diameter? A sector that
uses a 1" nut on a Mustang takes 85-110#
torque.....

These are the torque values as set forth for '49-'51 Linc/Merc.
(120-130 ft.-lb.)

Do these not usually use a lock washer, cotter pin or both?

When tightening make sure your wheels are on the ground and the drop arm is roughly in the centre, The stress is transferred to the control arm and wheels ,Ted
