Default 42/47 Tonner truck lug wrench

Anyone have a photo or know anything about a lug wrench for Tonner pickups? (17" split rims)

Did Ford factory provide one upon sale?

Attached is a photo of the lug wrench and rear axle nut socket for a 1940 Tonner. Both were stored behind the seat of my 40 Tonner when I bought it so I assume they were Ford OEM tools. I used the lug wrench and socket combo to remove the nut when rebuilding the axle. It came in handy.

I have a '46 and a '47 tonner. I think I have 2 of the lug wrenches. I will look tomorrow and post a picture or two. They have the correct tip on the end to fit the notch on the lock ring. I changed a lot of 17" tires on Ford tonners over the last 30 years and it was always a task until I found an original lug wrench with that tip. Since then I have bought a bar about 3' long with the same tip. The long lever is your friend. Best thing is you PM me, I will give you my phone number, you text me tomorrow to remind me. I am trying to be semi-retired, but still take on way too much work and so a text will remind me to get the pictures. Gary

Gujys,
The photo & your replies helps me with my question...THANK YOU!
Is the difference between Commercial tool kits & Express/Tonner tool kits the lug wrench & jack only?

Rick

That's the same as my wrenches. Unfortunately I don't have the axle nut part. I use a chisel for that wrench I have a couple of jacks that have a coarse acme thread, a squarish U shaped saddle and a gravity activated pall on the ratchet and have a socket to receive a steel bar handle looks about 3/8" x 1 1/4" from memory. Would these be for a tonner? I could get pics tomorrow. Thanks.
