Default Late 31 rear axle cotter pin question

HI Guys
I have a question on the rear axle cotter pins as I have everything else I just need to know the size of the cotter pins the original sizes as it's a original rear axle, but I have to put the original cotter pins in the shaft of the axle after the bolt is torqued to 125 ft. lbs. and I don't have the right size cotter pins for the rear axle so can someone please tell me what size the original cotter pins were originally.

Thanks
But I have found in a book where it says the original cotter pins where number 8 by 1-1/12" but I'm going to buy both of them and see how it all fits in there as 1/8" X 1" seams to small for it but I don't know at this moment so I will try both of them and see what fits in there.
Thanks again Reggiedog

if the cotter is too long, just snip it off.

I think 125 # is too much. 80-90# is fine, then tighten until the cotter drops in which will be around the 100# range. The tapers should be clean and dry.

Under rear axle shaft in the parts book it shows Cotter 72035-S.
72035-S is 1/8" x 1" cotter.
