The upholstery in my '41 tudor is getting thin.I want to keep her looking 1950ish.Does anyone know where I can buy some of the old fashion seat covers we used to use back in the 50's and 60's? They usually had vinyl side, top and bottom panels in solid colors. The seats and backrests were mostly plaid patterns.

If you google "pleated vinyl" you will see some outfits out there that actually sell upholstery in pleated form, vinyl or otherwise. However, since you have good material and a pattern, you might want to search online for that material and have a local upholsterer stitch it all up for you.

Although I used a local fabric store material, I researched a stock 32 seat pleat pattern for my avatar and had it stitched up close to the original to give it the "look" .... good luck ....

Automotive Interiors in Mass. has one that I can use but I think I'll go to a local and have it done. "41 upholstery wasn't all that pretty anyway and the plaid covers will "jazz" it up a little with a vintage look! I'm leaving the Labaron Bonney on though it's 20 or so years old and not in great condition. The covers are to protect it for a while longer. Thanks guys--Bill

I was down to Labaron Bonney in December and They have bought out a seat cover company and are making seat covers themselves. Might want to try them. Bought top and interior kit for my 48 Conv. from them. very pleased Good Luck

What you are looking for is old, original seat covers, I find them from time to time, I just had a set. Look on Ebay, vintage seat covers, usually cheap enough to buy as patterns. I have bought some from swap meets and they were Western auto supply, jc whitney, and the last was a brand I never could find but nice, and they were in the 20-50 dollar range. These were also NOS in the original box.

Along with the other good tips, place a want ad in the Swap Meet section; that's how I scored an NOS set for my 46 Coupe. Good luck.

I spent a lot of time searching and found some on Ebay and the HAMB. I posted a want ad on the HAMB and had several replies.
