Default 1932 Converted to 12V?

I'm trying to determine if this truck has been converted to 12V. Can someone tell me based on the generator? It has a 47-48 Flathead in it. Thanks in advance!

You can't tell looking at the generator because it could have been converted internally to 12 volts. I assume you don't have a battery? How about pulling the light bulbs and posting the numbers you find? Assuming any conversion was complete that should tell.

If it doesn't have a battery in it (as you could count the cells), then checkout some of your bulbs - to see if they are 6V or 12V bulbs. The numbers can tell you and sometimes they have the voltage printed on them.

My unexpert and non-verified opinion is that you'll probably find it is still 6V. Total wild-ass guess - based on looking at it! LOL

Does it have a voltage regulator? They are normally marked with the voltage, sometimes on the back.
My guess also is that it is probably 6V.

12 volt conversions are typically configured with negative to ground whereas 6 volt systems are positive to ground. Clamps on positive and negative battery wires are different sizes .... positive larger than the negative (ie true to this day). So for a 6 volt system, the battery wire attached to ground would likely have the larger sized battery clamp on its end. Another give-away is that the 6 volt dash gauges need a resistor installed for them if system is converted to 12 volts.
