Camshaft oil leak
I have an oil leak behind my camshaft. Is there another gasket besides the half moon paper gasket to seal the back of the camshaft and stop the oil dripping into the flywheel housing?

Re: Camshaft oil leak
No, just the gasket but some rebuilders have machined the blocks for O rings and also the flat freeze plugs.

Re: Camshaft oil leak
On some engines the bolt holes go all the way through the block by the camshaft. If they do and you are using lock washers, that could be your leak. If you take it apart put some sealer on the bolt threads.
