Default Helping a friend

My friend had installed an Edelbrock 500cfm crabon his 284 ci flathead. It has an Offy intake with an adapter. car runs fine, so far. However we have no road draft or intake tubes installed yet. Rather than boring the intake we install an earlyfuel pump adapter on the rear for adding oil. but the road draft need an AF vslve for the adapter under the carb. Which one do i use?????

Made a mistake here. Need a PVC valve here. I can tap the intake and screw one in and run a short line to the carb adapter,. I think???????

Having the PCV valve connected to the adapter sounds like a good idea.

It should pull vacuum from both planes of the intake if they are divided . Not knowing what adaptor you have leaves me at a disadvantage. Tim

I made it. Just a piece if 3/4 alum with 4 hols and some mounting holes forall head 5/16 screwa they hold the adapter to the intake. The PVC plugs into a threaded hole in the rear under the secondary's. I got hos from someone on the barn back a few years ago The oil fill tube is an old fuel pump stand with a crew top from a junk car.. I will take a pic whem I go over there next week/ still don't know what PVC valve to get. I;ll get one with the right threads and try it. What happens if it doesn't

I heard one from a 3.6 GM V6 is a good choice; the engine sizes are similar.

MAKE SURE that whichever PCV Valve that you choose is able to function PROPERLY if mounted HORIZONTALLY. SOME PCV Valves must be mounted VERTICALLY to function properly!

Learned allot here, will pick one of these up and give it a shot, especially it it screws into the carb adapter/ Them another 90deg fitting in the road draft opening a short hose and it's done. Couldn't be simpler. Might be capable of doing that.
