This is a rust free mostly original 1950 Custom Deluxe Ford door sedan. It has been owned for a couple of decades by a long time Early Ford V8 Club member. It was owned by one family since new before the current owner purchased it. The car's paint is in excellent condition. The interior is all intact, and serviceable. The engine starts and runs well. The car is equipped with a three-speed transmission with Borg-Warner overdrive. The car is an excellent choice if you would like to get a very solid, rust-free, southern California Ford that needs nothing to get driving and enjoying.
This car has an unusual background. It was assembled at the Long Beach CA plant for one of the Plant employees named Leonard Peterson. He was the Parts Manager for the Plant. Leonard ordered this car, and his name was on the work order when it went down the assembly line. The workers at the plant thought Leonard was the Vice President of the plant at the time, whose name was also Leonard Peterson. As a result, the car received extra special treatment while being assembled.
The car was run through the paint booth twice. That's probably why the original black paint still looks so good. Extra undercoating was applied to the car, even under the hood, on the firewall, top side of the floor pans and inside the trunk compartment for protection and sound proofing. 1949 chrome dash knobs were used instead of the 1950 plastic knobs. The following accessories were also installed:
Turn Signals
Spotlight with the concentric circle design matching the grill bullet.
Engine compartment lights
Trunk compartment lights
Exhaust deflector
Dual outside mirrors
inside anti-glare mirror
vanity mirror
8 tube custom deluxe radio
Electric Clock
Magic air heater and defroster
Stainless wheel trim rings

In 1951 Mr. Peterson added 1951 taillights because they were larger than the 1950 lights, he thought they would improve safety. When he was able to but his next new Ford, Mr. Peterson gave the car to his brother, who later gave it to his daughter. His daughter later sold the car to my elderly friend, who still owns the car. I am helping my friend sell this car.
