Thanks Krylon . . . any idea on the actual dimensions on the input - from the front of the transmission? It might help folks find transmissions to use your kits - which is good for everybody.

My kit supplies all the early Ford style parts needed and will hook to the stock clutch linkage. You can use your stock PP with a new disc supplied by Fort Wayne Clutch. Personally I like the 35-40 center X member kit that 40ragtopdown over on the HAMB makes. It is reasonably priced, includes the wishbone brackets and has a good fit. The open drive conversion supplied by Hot Rod Works is well engineered, fits, and it along with the wishbone kit and torque arm works great. The other alternative for the rear is a CE or TCI parallel rear spring kit and a later rear end. This set up is a little more expensive but works good. I expect some negative feedback on my comments but I've been doing T5 conversions for almost 30 years so am speaking from a few experiences.
Hi Krylon32, sounds like ur kit is neat! How much & what’s included? Sounds like not the adaption plate to mount the T5 nor the wishbone balls? I have sent 40ragtopdown a conversation on the Hamb on his 35-40 X-Member conversion JIC?
Best Tony

Check my ad in the 4 sale section for a list of what's included and the price. I have them in stock for the 85-92 and 93 up S10 T5 trans. My kit has everything but the clutch disc.

Gary ..... I believe Tony is asking about a crossmember similar to that pictured BELOW which accepts split wishbone ends/trans mount. I don't see one listed in your kit.

I don't sell those products. That's why I sent him to 40ragtopdown on the HAMB

This is the Hot Rod Works mount. This is the type that didn't work for my application. I had to make one were the Heim joint was vertical rather than horizontal like these mounts. If someone wants one I'm pretty sure I still have the one I didn't use.

That one is for the REAR radius rods. The one Tony was asking about is for the FRONT wishbone and also serves as a transmission mount.

There are kits sold that are made to replace the entire center section of the frame. Speedway Motors shows them (TCI Engineering 204-2073-00 TH350 Transmission Mount-1937-1940 Ford). I have never seen a bolt in kit that is made for the ball end of the wishbone. You could purchase the kits with or without the flanges for the split wishbone so I ordered the one without the split bones mounts and built my own ball mount. It's basically the same idea as shown in the video above.

The picture above is what 40ragtopdown over on the HAMB manufactures. It is a great quaslity product and about half the price of a TCI or CE kit. This installation seems to work best with split bones. I have had a few customers do the kit with a spacer to lower the bones for clearance, I have no idea what they did to clearance the center of the x for the T5. I've used the yellow Hot Rod Works piece for the rear bones with no problems.

Thx for all the info guys, I went to 40ragtopdown on the Hamb. He’s got the kit & also showed some pics of a guy who modified his to accept the unsplit wishbone w ball mounted similarly to the YouTube video In the original post in the thread.
