Unhappy Wheel Trim Rings

Found 6 old trim rings in my storage shed. The rings are not dinged or sprung, but the old chrome plating is falling off on all 6 and there is surface rust on them as well.

What is the best way to remove the old chrome plating? There is no sand blasting available here in Warrenton, Va. Or, are these candidates for the land fill?

Have them sent to a re-plater and let them worry about it. What you do may not be the best for their process.

Yes I saw they were still available but pricey. No doubt by the time I was done having them replated (none around here) I would exceed the cost of new ones. Anyway that is how most of my projects of this nature wind up....
