I have a question were all the people in the 1930s 1940s and earlier old small there is not enough room in these cars to have a fight with your old lady

I understand that Ford advertised that the 1929 trucks seated three. One would need to me a small child for that to happen.

There was always room for Pa and Ma Walton with Grandma Walton in-between in front with John-Boy, Mary-Ellen, Jim Bob, Erin, Ben, Jason, Ike and Cora-Beth in the rumble pulling Grandpa Walton up the mountain in his coffin!!!! There is plenty of room.................

Most people were not as tall in the past as they are now. The first Texas Penitentiary built in Huntsville Texas in 1849 (The Walls Unit) has some of the original building inside the walls. The cells were open to the outside with no protection from the elements. The cell doors and bed are only about 5 foot long.

and yea twinkies and TV dinners didnt help much haha. I also think more people in the cities VS farming where sure you ate lard and bacon every day but you worked your ass off in the fields every day.

yea no way in heck a 29 cab seats 3...people must of had ALOT smaller feet back then too. A 29 cab with 2 people you better get snuggly with em esecially if your trying to not lean on the door

Have you seen 'Driving Miss Daisy'? The old lady rides in the back seat of a sedan, rumble seat of a coupe or roadster, and in the back end of a truck.
Preferably with a hydraulic dump.

I'm at Disney World with my daughter. My question is: does anybody in the USA weigh less than 300 pounds, and why is everybody eating ice cream (actually only those who need two seats to fit). Oh, oh, I'm not being PC.

2 of my sons are over 6'

On the other hand, 3 in the cab of my AA when I was a teenager was no big deal. Nowadays 2 is a tight fit in my pickup. I think that having been left outside these 85 years, it has done some serious shrinking.

Yes, it is a commonly known fact that (generally) people were noticeably smaller that today. And so were the garages of 1930.

There were a couple of exceptions - in the 1920's and early '30s, the Cell Phones were considerably larger than the ones of today !

If you had collected WW1 and WW2 uniforms and militaria like I did for many years, you would have soon noticed how small men were then-the vast majority of uniforms that were actually worn seem to be size 36 and 38-anything larger than a size 42 is rare. Size 42 was also the largest US government-made off-the-rack uniform coat during the Civil War (they came in four sizes).

The older I get the shorter I get. Two inchs in the last five years and still weigh the same. Makes getting in the A easier.
