A question about convertible top
1939 Convertibles had die cast filler blocks at the joint of the top opening at the back upper curve of the side window. See photo of top interior. Does the 1939 interchange with any other year 1937? 1935? (Drake made the rubber pads for a while and showed them as 1935-1939).
I have a pair of the back ones that mount to the wood blocks a the back of the side windows, photos are shown. I have had several calls for people looking for these and they are well within my capability to reproduce as a sand casting if i can find a sample of the front (upper) ones. |

Re: A question about convertible top
Karl,
The '37 cabriolet and presumably the '38 had the same die cast pieces at that point. |

In my personal experience with the '39 convertibles, these pieces are often missing. Perhaps they were subject to fatigue and subsequent breakage? I've been lucky in that I've been able to source them when needed. However, that had been quite a "search" to say the least.
