Brass Model A Headlight Question
Years ago I bought a set of what I was told were custom made brass headlights
for a company in England that ordered Model A trucks for his company to be shipped overseas . Thety look like a 682-c light wiithout the small top light . All brass They were pricy when I bought them. But I like different parts. Someone just asked me about them. I said I'll ask on here. I'll post a picture when I gpo to my shop. Thanks all They are NOT model T's |

Re: Brass Model A Headlight Question
A few years ago, I bought a deceased estate lot of Model A stuff which included the remains of a 1928 Roadster. I assume the brass headlights that came with the stuff are from that car but I can't be certain (they have the later style lenses in them). Anyway, I have a nice pair of brass headlights with no dents but the nickel plating is worn through in places. It was only the brass showing through in places and a check with a magnet that convinced me that they are brass. They look just the same as any other 1928/9 Model A headlight other wise.
I thought that they were a bit unusual being brass but didn't think nay more of it. Do I have something even a bit special? I had them on my "barn find" Ute that I made from bits and pieces. Maybe just as well they weren't damaged.

Mine are all brass. No chrome plating and in mint condition as I remember them. Just came to mind because i was asked today if I still had them .
