Default Back to Chrome shop recommendations

I just found out my go to chrome shops has closed after 78 years (Graves Plating in Florence AL). SO, what shops are currently recommended...I have a few small delicate detail items I need to have chromed??

The Chrome Shop in Menasha WI. Been utilizing their services for 40+ years with ZERO issue.
They only do show quality; no "driver" stuff.

space coast plating in melbourne, fl. is highly recommended, a little pricey, but they do good work if you're not in a big rush. Tom

I've had good luck with delicate pieces at Paul's Chrome in PA.
They have been in business a very long time.

Thank you Mike. I will call them first!!

Tom1948, thanks...I am aware of Space Coast and glad you had a good review/experience BUT was not overly impressed with what I saw from them in the past!!! I appreciate your input.

From what I’ve seen on various media they earn every cent they charge!

I've had Paul's Chrome do some work for me in the past. The results were excellent, they are pricey but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Most of the cost in having something chrome plating is the cost of the disposal and reclamation of the heavy metals such as chromium, nickel and copper, when the bath is spent. It must be pumped into approved containers and trucked to a reclamation site and treated. The chrome shop is the one that pay's for that and is added to the cost. I know for a fact that the reputable shops also need to deal with the EPA and everything must be accounted for. If they find that they are dumping solutions in a drain or burying it they will get a huge fine and possibly closed down.

Third vote for The Chrome Shop! Haven't used them in years but when I dropped off some items to be done it was very early in the morning and was afforded a peak into the buffing and polishing area. Was swept clean from the previous days work. Great to work with!
