SEEKING: Source for 68C window channels
I've been trying to locate a source for the felt for the door frame of a 68C I am restoring. It has deep channels which are wider than the typical slant-window 'A' of the period due to the chrome frame around the roll-up windows. Does anybody have any idea where I might locate a source for these (some call them 'cat's whiskers') ... or for the rubber strip that fits into the groove along the top of the 68C windshield frame? I've tried several members of the Cabriolet Club with no luck so far. Thanks! ([email protected])

You should have a direct email from me.
I do not know a normal retail source for the felt. Someone found something in the last couple of years, hopefully they will speak up. For those who would not know, the 68C was unique in that it used a thin black felt glued to the channel with a rubber of some sort. It does not use the normal type of channels you are used to seeing. For those trying to restore a cabriolet you find out real quick some parts are much different then say a coupe. |
