Default 32 Right tail light bracket...is this NOS?

OK...I know there was an optional right taillight. I picked up what I was told is original left AND right. The left is definately original. This right one is certainly too heavy to be typical reproduction. The writing on it says FOLITE like it was a knock off of the duolite brand. Anyone ever see one of these? Did whitney or someone make knockoffs in the 30's and 40's?
R is stamped in where the tail light attaches (see circles).

Looks to be NORS. It's a casting and the factory Ford bracket is a stamping, as are the current repros. I've seen cast aluminum one's before, is yours steel or aluminum?
As far as Whitney goes I doubt they produced anything on their own; they bought, marked up, and marketed only.

Jim, That Folite is a 30's aftermarket and cast iron. Its actually a nice one.I had one about a year ago.Run it .It will fit correctly.Folite also made tailites that were Ford replacements.

.... didn't I buy it from you? It is the only one I have ever seen and was trying to document it a little. Wondering if it will help or hurt for Rouge

Jim, The one I had went to a fellow in Yucca Valley,CA.Maybe you got it from him.You would have to check with the serious V8 club guys on rouge awards.Pat Fenner in Ohio could advise on that.

If you live in a state that requires two tailamps or turn signals it would have no effect on the rouge award. Same with seat belts.

Jim, Like Tom has indicated....shouldn't make any difference in Rouge class. Many safety items are permitted in all classes. Pat

FWIW
I have a pair that are cast iron, Duolamp is cast into the stand, and the top is threaded so that the head can be turned for use on either side.
I have had these since the early 70s.

The "Model 18 Notes" in V8 Times covered all these RH brackets of the '30's a few years back...very interesting reading.
I have a different RH oddity that was shown there...it is a cast iron brcket designed specifically for rumble seat cars. This thing has an offset flat area allowing the rumble seat step bracket to be bolted through it, and a curved arm that starts right above that with a slightly tighter than stock curve, so taillight ends up at stock level...very neat adaptation for an installation that was not really possible with Ford BF or Fordlike right brackets.

I have come into ownership of this Folite Right Tail Light stand. It is thick and heavy sand cast steel or iron as seen by the rough casting marks on the inside. The markings were filled with Bondo, so it is freshly bead blasted.
Any idea of the value as I won't be using it?
Thanks,
Allinger

As a functional bracket ii is likely worth no more that a stamped steel reproduction, if that To a collector of period non-Ford aftermarket Ford parts, perhaps a fair bit more as it is likely a fairly rare item.
