Default 32 commercial rad cap hunt ?? 'Holy Grail'

Just found another sort of BB cap on the latest BB arrival. It is the Green one,-- a pressed steel version of the passenger cap. Included in the photos are two chrome caps that maybe gas caps of that era. The smaller one is an EATON. Hard to see in the photos. Just to show what is out there. In forty yrs I have been able to hold one correct 32 commercial cap! Newc

Their scarcity is a bit of a mystery given that there were tens of thousands produced.

I think the problem is (was) that they just looked like another ole timey radiator cap. Adding to the confusion is they sorta look like a model A part and therefore nearly worthless as model A parts were a dime (or less) a dozen back in the day. And as the time went on an the trucks died off than the caps went with them.
A friend of mine is a early flathead expert and a guru on 33 and 34 parts in that he has basically memorized the green bible for those years. I found a 32 commercial cap in one of his buckets of stuff that he was sorting for junk. He had no idea.

Each one is different ('33 and '34) approximating each year's passenger car cap.
