Default 49 ford 4 door radiator

I bought a new champion 3 core radiator and the dennis carpenter radiator hose and clamp kit the radiator fit great but the bottom hoses are to short and the top hoses are to long. I can cut the top hoses but I don't know what to do on the bottom do they make longer hoses for the bottom ? has anyone else had this problem?

The top hoses are not equal lengths, one is supposed to be longer than the other.
Make sure you have checked the fit on both sides before doing any cutting.
The bottom hoses are another issue.

I had problems with Carpenter hoses at the bottom as well. They are the wrong shape and as you said a bit too short. And the Ford logo came off in my hands as I tried to wrestle them on. Poor Chinese quality. They used to sell some US made ones with the right shape.

I eventually got them to fit without leaking but it made for a real pain. Good luck.

does anyone make any that fit ? I tried the ones from rock auto and there to short and stiff I couldn't get them to stop leaking so I got the dennis carpenter ones back on they aren't leaking right now but there so short I don't think they will stay on when it gets hot with pressure

I measured mine. Went to a local auto parts store and they cut a pair for me. Fit perfect.
No Ford script though.

I used some straight pieces on my ‘50. I found it easier to put them on as I lowered the radiator into position. I cut them to the length that fit..... Mark
