Lucas tires

Do you have any advice on the Lucas tires. We will be driving locally most of the time with an occasional road trip (100-200mi.)

I have them on the truck and my dad has a set on his victora, they seem to be a real good tire for the price.

They did not last very long on our Victoria.
Would not buy another set.

Have the 4.75-5.00x19 Olympics on my Town Sedan, no issues. I do have balance beads in the tubes, don't know if that helps.

On my 19” wheels, I didn’t like them, sold them and went back to the Goodyear’s. At 50+ mph, they were squirrelly. Goodyears aren’t.

according to the chart I just tried to post- the Lucas "grow" flat spots if stored for awhile.
the best part of the lucas is the pricing, but the european classics appear to be far better tires for the same $

What is considered "a while"? Altho I usually drive it at least once a week, it has sat for up to a month. I have never noticed any flat spots.

Im speaking of putting it away in the fall, and pulling it out in the spring- so say 5-6 months.

Al Mack. We drive about 2500-3000 miles per year
During the 2nd year noticed significant tire wear.
In my opinion.... these tires are squirrelly on any pavement deviation. Gave uneasy feel.
We usually drive at 50mph on the open road.
I switched to the Firestones... and am happy.
Wish I would have known about the European tires... I continue hearing good things there

Literally all my cars have that problem if I store them with normal tire pressure, even the Benz with semi slicks.


I increase the tire pressure to 3.5 - 4 bar when I put them away for the winter. No more flat spots that way.
