Why do you need documentation?

They are all pretty easy to figure out. I have 6 or 7 different kinds over the years and never had a manual.

Post pictures that show the wires and the labels of the wires. Also take it apart and take a picture of the insides. Certain types of capacitors that might be inside should be changed as they go bad over time. It is always wise to inspect the wiring in any case.

Hi:

I'm new to the forum and to collecting vintage test equipment. I recently acquired an Allen E1403 so I'm reviving this thread. I would like to get hold of a manual or tips on how to operate. I don't know what the different settings are and how to use the tester.

Thanks,
Britcar82

That's a nice looking unit. Did you get the cords with it?

I'd try a Google search for: "Allen E1403"

I could only find this by using Google.

Thanks. I've tried google and nothing comes up. Unfortunately, the manual on Ebay is for a volt/amp tester and the settings are different. Mine came with the cord that attaches to test the coil/condenser. I bought a new appliance cord to plug into 110v. It works, I just don't know how to use it

Regards,
Sherman

I'm not new to the forum, but I'm in the same boat. I have one myself...but my leads are gone. I need a connection diagram so that I can make new leads for it...and some literature would be nice to learn how to use it..
