Default Correct generator for a '40 Ford

I have an NOS generator for a '40. The data plate part # is C11W-10,000-D. It is still in the original shipping box. Is this correct for a 1940 ? Photos of data plate & generator. Thank you.

Not even close to correct.

It is 1941 Canadian COE.

It also appears to be service stock and not even concourse correct for 1941.

Nothing for SURE about this 'WAG", but the "C11" part sounds like it could POSSIBLY have to do with "Canadian" and 1941. I really doubt passenger car, though. DD

no ground wire on the generator case, only field wire and armature, mount will have an 01a-xxxx and the pulley will also have 01a on it, pully end of armature will have a clip to hold the pully on the shaft
