Default Shock ID

I need help identifying the type, brand or origin of the shocks on my ‘28 roadster. They came on it a long time ago.

Maybe a '32 or early V-8? Houdaille Shocks were used on other brands besides Ford also. http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/shockidentification.htm

That looks like an MG or Healey shock, but it’s been a long time since I actually saw one of those, so really it’s just a guess.

Thanks everyone. That would make a lot of sense. My dad bought this car in the mid-60’s and the prior owner had a Ford dealership and garage. There were other modifications done to it as well.

They aren't mounted as original. The actual mount holes can be seen on the frame behind the front axle location. This would be a farmer fix.

My guess would be they were mounted such because if mounted in stock location they would hit the brake rod.
