Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
Here's an extra I have. This was for I believe '37 and I know for sure '38 and '39 when the e-brake was moved from a transmission mount to under the dash. Besides the cut-out for that cable and the missing quarter pie for the starter button on bottom it has the same dimensions as what you are looking for. One other difference is the v pressed into the plate doesn't extend as high on the right side as a '36 plate. Let me know if you want it for at least a pattern. GaryU.

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
If you are going to make some toe boards, I need one for my 37 which would be like Gary mentions. I could trade a rear cab corner.

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
Hope you (37 truck) meant pedal plate as that is what's headed To OldGold360 right now. That trade sounds like a great deal for both, good luck with your projects!

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
I could use a pedal plate even without the grouves or raised ribs. Thanks for any help on this. kerk

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
Gary really helped me out, sending me the one he had, but if enough people need them I can make some. It would be really easy to make them without the bead detail. I can make them with the bead detail but would just have to make the tooling to either form or stamp it into the panel. I will look at the plate when it arrives from Gary to determine the best course of action.

Lawson Cox--it's good to see you posting. Hope you're doing well. I have that NOS '38-'39 big truck radiator I bought from you on my '38 pickup. Keeps it nice and cool/

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
OK.........it arrived today --- and it is RIGHT ON.
Thanks OldGold360. Here's picture of it on my restored toe board. Off to the bodyshop on Wednesday after golf to blast and paint. Now if Mr 1935-1936 Rogers lets us all know what type of fasteners were used --- it would be more than appreciated. (Please disregard the toothpicks as there are just there to test fit) |

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
Bruce, Per your question....Ford used (3) #6 x 3/8" binding head sheet metal screws to hold the cover plate in place (black oxide finish) part # 32914-S2

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
Thank you very much Don.
I was figuring it was a sheet metal screw, and you filled in the blanks. |
