Re: ford blue
One-shot sign paint has an excellent match for the original Harding blue used by originally by Ford. Their name for it is reflex blue and their item number is 155-L.

Re: ford blue
Yep! I used a little bottle of Testors model paint on my hubcaps. Appeared to be a near-perfect color match. Don't know the color name, don't have the bottle anymore. Its an oil base enamel, good for little detail work with a brush. Has held up well, no chipping.

Re: ford blue
Couple methods. easy way...
1.Using vaseline on the high spots before. Wipe it off. 2. Spray then steelwool the cap. Sand it off. If you have a steady hand. Pin stripe it. One shot. Great stuff. https://www.1shot.com/One-Shot/Products/Topcoats.aspx Probably a pinstriper or sign guy that can do it to. . . Last edited by Tinker; 04-08-2020 at 02:11 AM. |

This is what I use. It is about a close of a match to the so called "Ford Blue" that I've found. Plus, it flows out very nicely - no brush strokes.
