32 cowl mounting front bracket
If someone could help identify the front cowl mounting bracket would bring joy. The question, is bracket worn to a taper or do I need to repair by adding weld and how does this mount to the frame over the firewall. Thanks, Pete

As shown in the photo below, the subject bracket does not touch the frame. It serves to tighten the cowl down and around the firewall via the two 7/16-20 x 2 1/4" hex bolts through the frame (one each side of the cowl).

Is there welting between the firewall and the frame?

That's welting is for the hood sides.
