Nice car. It makes me wonder something though. When did fender skirts first start appearing on cars? They were not factory options were they? And what is the purpose of them on older cars?

Beautiful cars, is the gas station your garage? I had a Shell station at one time.

I really love it.
This one was that color originally .
Since you added skirts i would guess that
you are not a 'hardcore' purist [nor am I] so just of
interest . 1934 had blackwalls or double whites.

Brainct,Both black walls were standard, white walls were double whites up to the very early 50s.So I have been told. The fender skirts is one of the vary rare thing to find. Most people either love them or hate them.I love rare accesorys my weekness.

I can't tell you, with any degree of certainty, exactly when fender skirts were offered on Fords or any other makes however, I can tell you that fender skirts were an after-market item available for most cars in the '30's. The primary purpose was to add style in the form of streamlining (a big design feature of automobiles at that time). Like someone said, skirts are one of those accessories that you either love or hate... For me, I love fender skirts, especially on Fat Fendered Fords!!!

Stunning, would love to see more details. Love the skirts, they should not work on a 33/34 but you have just shown they really do. Amazing car.
