Re: OK, things will get back to normal now.
We have 3 little kids in our house, it was great to see Christmas through their eyes. The total decorating I did outside was I parked my rpu on the front porch and wrapped some lights around the front end. Inside was just the tree and stockings, nothing extravagant.

Re: OK, things will get back to normal now.
we have been married for 48 years ..(18 years old) we have had 48 REAL Christmas trees and lights etc with our 2 children and 3 grandchildren , every year before Christmas I tell my wife we will tone it down this year and get a fake tree and just a few lights but I know what is expected of us and the family would be disappointed and maybe think we have gone soft so this year as always the £50 tree was bought along with more outside lights and it looks just great and even after spending 2 days doing the work its still satisfying and the family love it and the real fire finishes it off .my family have just gone home after chrismas day and boxing day with them, ( our american friends can google boxing day if they have no idea what it is )food ,drink ,games and a great 2 days ....I,m sure I will be a Grinch again around the start of December but it will be same again next year (god willing),deep down we love it but at the back of my mind is sadness for the old and lonely and absent friends and family......to all barners and ford v8 lovers , good health ,good oil pressure and good compression for 2014 .....cheers jim.

Hmmm....my wife and I are thinking 'Cruise' next Christmas....
No decorating, no cooking, no fuss, just show up at the boat and get on board.

Re: OK, things will get back to normal now.
This Christmas was a special one for our family as our oldest daughter and her husband adopted a little girl from China. They just returned home today with her so Christmas was a day late, but well worth it. Lilianna is her name and she makes our 13th grandchild. We are blessed.
