Default Fuel Shut Off Valve

Hey guys, I recently switched over to a single down-draft intake with a Stromberg 97. Since my gravity feed is traveling down to the electric fuel pump on the frame, should I still open/close the fuel shut-off valve inside the car or would it be ok to leave it open now? I think it would be since I am using an electric pump but wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Because it's gravity feed, for safety, I would shut it off whenever the engine is shut down.
