I, like many others have seen this unit floating around on the social media sites for the past month or so, and the two things that seem to surface out of all of them is the German company that manufactures these also manufactures several other more powerful units. Someone posted something that I read where this particular unit is their backpack unit and will only remove flash rust, -not scaley or deep in the pits. It also supposedly carries a $200k US price tag. I was never able to find a price listing on the larger units either, but as with anything, as the technology advances, the pricing will likely drop too.

That is amazing! It is much quicker than sandblasting and a huge amount faster than molasses or electrolysis. I appears not to damage the non-rusted metal. I wonder what the laser costs. I suspect it is super big bucks!

I'm glad I lived long enough to see that.

Haven't checked in a while, but about a year ago they cost $380,000 for the 500W unit and $280,000 for the 300W unit ...or you can rent them.

cleanLASER is a Germany company with their web site here.

When working on my car, I figure the thing is closing in on 90 years old - what's another day or two. "Slow down and do it right", I tell myself.

He says under the video in the comments that it's $600,000 for that particular model.
