Default 35 was a good year

Not only did ford make great cars in 1935, but it is the first year for beer in cans.

I've always liked '36's better. The '35 "stand-up" grille looks old-fashioned to me and clashes with the rest of the design. The '36 grille fits in with the whole Art Deco theme much better. I always liked bottled beer better, too. There's one in every crowd.

I love the '35 Fords. The roadster being my favorite with the swoopy fenders and flowing body.... they don't look too bad in the snow either!

Always liked the 35 more than 36. The wire wheels look so much better, and I always thought the 35 grille a Little more stately(like a Packard or Rolls) than the 36 grille. JMO
And the three windows look like a “custom” built car!

Here’s mine as I found it.

I started liking 35 Fords when I was in my mid teens, and never stopped liking them based on all that I have bought and owned since then . I wouln't kick a 36 out of my garage, but I do prefer the looks of a 35 over a 36.

As said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When I was in my teens back in the 50's the 36 was the one most envied. There were some really nice 35 cars around but the 33, 34, 36, 39 and 40 cars were the ones to have. I doubt if anyone knew the difference between the 33 and 34 cars. I have also grown to like the 35 cars as well as any.

35 s are nice, my dad got his licence in one in 1942 (flatback fordor) when he was 15. It was fathers company car. He was pissed off because he wished his dad had got a Chev of all things.

My personal favourite of the 2 is the 36. I love the "bull nose" look and the way it integrates with the rest of the body...no matter what style.

Ps: I like beer, whether in a can or bottle, draught, whether Pilsner, dark, light, whatever...I just like beer fullstop!

I own a '34 - If Social Security paid me better, I'd be able to afford a newer car....
