Redneck...aka Ken Stewart
Guys,
Most of us here know all about the Early V8 Club of America....a great collection of super people dedicated '32 to '53 FORDS. The Early Ford V8 Foundation in Auburn Indiana while not a part of the V8 Club works shoulder to shoulder with the Club and has a magnif- icent museum in Auburn. The Museum just got more magnificent because of a wonderful gesture by my dear friends Barb and Ken Stewart. Barb and Ken donated their '33 5w coupe to the Museum in mem- ory of Marty their brave and valiant son who passed away last year. Alice and I have visited Barb and Ken many times and enjoyed their collection of Ford V8's, all road worthy and of the highest quality. I thank you both for your generosity and kindness. Charlie ny |

Dear Charlie: Thank you for this information; Ken and Barb are truly wonderful people who would give you the keys to anything in their garage and their heart, anytime. They are certainly treasures, and although Ken likes to pretend he is ignorant, he most assuredly is not. We are blessed by their friendship.

So sorry to hear of their loss. That was an incredible gesture, as I know how nice all of their cars are. Bless them and God rest their son's soul.

Re: Redneck...aka Ken Stewart
Ken and Barb are truly special people indeed. They have been tested quite a bit over the last year or so, but have kept their faith. Like I have stated here before...."there will be a special place in Heaven for them someday!" Candy and I have been blessed to have them as dear friends.
Warm Regards, Pat & Candy |

Thanks for that update Charlie. A smooth move from those who have to those who have not. Good show!
A voluntary distribution beats the hell out of a forced confiscation. These people are obviously communicating without saying a word. Awesome! JWL |

All I can say is "wow" ! A wonderful gift coming from two good folks who I had learned to admire from these pages on "the Barn" . Especially nice as I am sure both of them have worked very hard for everything they have !

I certainly agree with the sentiments expressed Russ, but, The soul is eternal, but the body is not. Their son lives on.

Re: Redneck...aka Ken Stewart
What a great gesture by Ken and his wife. I read about it in the V8 Times (I think that is where it was). Ken and Alice you are to be commended for your generosity.

Re: Redneck...aka Ken Stewart
Hi Charlie and Everyone,
I had the pleasure to briefly meet Redneck/Ken in Hiawassee Georgia. I look forward to seeing him in Gettysburg next week so I can say some things in person. But, to make such an outstanding donation to the foundation is quite thoughtful. Sometimes I think they need and appreciate more of my support than the national V8 club does! Charlie, I just went to look for that issue of the V8 Times and I don't have it! I let my membership slip for a month or so, just renewed online earlier this week. (Also did 3 years on the foundation for about a hundred.) Maybe I'll get the V8 Times in the mail soon. So thanks for letting us know. Does anyone have a photo of the car? A 33 5w should be a looker, eh? I really hope the Rotunda is built soon so it can have a good spot to show off for decades to come. I also hope there is a note about Barb and Ken, and especially Marty. More Foundation cheerleading and a link to a bunch of photos, here: http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showth...ght=foundation
