Default Width of 1929 coupe wood header

Does anyone have a header they could measure for width and mounting hole width. My new wood kit seems to be too wide. Before I start modifying it would be good to check this.
Thanks

The important thing is to make sure the metal header cover fit correctly over the front part of the wood header. When I installed the wood header on my 28 coupe, I found the header was not made quite right. It was from Classic Wood. The front of the header projected out about 1/4" to 3/8" to far forward. I had to grind the front off a lot of make the metal cover fit right. It took a while to make the metal cover fit correctly. The back of the wood header should be even with the metal over the windshield. The back side of the metal cover once fit correctly over the wood, should touch or almost touch the flat panel above the windshield. Another problem was one of the holes in the end of the wood header was off by about 1/4". I had to plug the hole and drill a new hole. Overall I was quite disappointed with the quality of the header.

Duke I had to do a lot of fitting to make my wood kit work . I'll measure my header this morning . As rusty stated I had to remove a lot of wood to make the header cover fit once that's done your close .

As has been said, Check your hole locations! The seat holes on the sills on my 30 Town Sedan were spaced .500 too wide. This meant I had to plug and re drill the eight holes to mount the front seat adjuster.
