Default MARC National meets

I bought my 1st Model A in 1955 and I still have it, and drive it fairly regularly. It is almost just the way I bought it. I can go anywhere, anytime, and never have to worry about it getting scratched!

Now my question: I drove it from Philadelphia, PA area to the MARC National Meet in Dearborn in either 1956 or 1957, but I can't remember, for sure, which year. I have an 8mm film of the trip and the meet that I am trying to edit and put on a flash drive with some captions and, maybe, sound. I want to make sure I have the correct year in the title page.

One help may be the 'Best of Show' award went to Red Grow for his Yellow Cabriolet. I think he was from CA.

Thanks for the help! Don

Looking back! We went through the Ford plant and I know they were not building the 1956 or the 1959 models. I remember them 'slamming' the big flat hood so it had to be either '57 or '58. I hope somebody can steer me in the right direction. I hate to think of going through all of those old boxes to find the MARC NEWS for those years. DON

Default MARC National meets

It was 1957, and it wasn’t a cabriolet.

YOU ARE AMAZING! I have all of my old magazines but it would have take a LONG time to find that one, somewhere in the attic? Thanks, Don

Don, at least you have it, it runs, and you likely drive it a little. Good for you! All you need is a top frame, and the willingness to exercise it from time-to-time. Good for you!

Wayne Carini of F40 Motorsport, who has a show on Motorweek TV, is the son of Robert Carini, in the 1957 MARC News.

I see where Mr. Grow valued his Model A Ford at $4,000!

Big bucks for 1957 for a Model A.

That is $43,800 in today's phoney money, due to inflation.
