Default Roadster outside rearview mirror

Is there a way to mount an outside mirror when side curtains on a roadster are used?

The driver side - side curtain has a slot in it so the mirror arm or post from the windshield fits in the slot. This is not so on the passenger side unless the curtain was made as with a slot. Keith

My side curtains do not have a slit for a rearview mirror. Can anyone supply a picture of where the slit is to be and how the mirror is attached? Appreciate any help.

Deluxe Roadsters had a side view mirror from the factory and the L/H side curtain had a slot for the post of the mirror.

Standard Roadsters did not have a side mirror and therefore did not have a slot in the L/H curtain.

My ‘31 Deluxe Roadster has a side view mirror mounted to the windshield stanchion - outside the side curtain. However, it’s practically useless, as the visibility through the side curtain is very poor.

Picture in post #3 appears to be of a 1928-29 Roadster - no Standard or Deluxe models in those years.

Shine up your left headlamp and use for a wide angle side mirror.
